যার পরিবারের তিনি সহ মাত্র চারজন সদস্য এবং প্রত্যেকে আইন শিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত।

জীবনে চলার পথে শুরুটা এত সুখর  ছিল না  পিতা আব্দুল খালেক শেখ ছিলেন আওয়ামী লীগের একজন একনিষ্ঠ কর্মী৷ যার উৎসাহ  উদ্দিপনা তিনি খুব ছোট বেলা থেকেই  পারিবারিক ভাবে বঙ্গবন্ধুর আদর্শে 

দিক্ষিত হন৷ছাত্র জীবনে ছাত্রলীগের রাজনীতির সাথে যুক্ত হন ৷দৌলতপুর কলেজ ছাত্র সংসদের নির্বাচিত ভিপি, সরকারী কৃষি কলেজ ছাত্র সংসদের সাধারণ সম্পাদক ছিলেন।সাবেক সহ সভাপতি খুলনা মহানগর ছাত্রলীগ,সাবেক সাধারণ সম্পাদক নাজিরপুর উপজেলা অাওয়ামীলীগ,গত ৩০বছর যাবত 

পিরোজপুর জেলা অাওয়ামী লীগের কার্যকরী পরিষদ সদস্য,  জিয়াউর রহমান ও এরশাদের স্বৈরশাসন আমলে একাধিকবার গ্রেপ্তার ও কারা নির্যাতনের শিকার হন এবং রিমান্ডের নামে অমানবিক শারিরিক নির্যাতনের শিকার হয়।

১৯৮০সালে বিএন পি সন্ত্রাসীদের দ্বারা নির্মম নির্যাতনের মৃতপ্রায় অবস্থায় রাস্তায় ফেলে রাখা হয় তাকে, মাসের পর মাস কেটেছে জেলে ৷
১/১১ পরবর্তী সময়ে বর্তমান প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা ও কেন্দ্রীয় বেশ কয়েকজন নেতার আইনজীবী হিসাবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেন।

এছাড়া বঙ্গবন্ধু হত্যা মামলা ও জেল হত্যা মামলায় রাষ্ট্রপক্ষের অন্যতম আইনজীবী ছিলেন।বাংলাদেশ বার কাউন্সিলের ফাইন্যান্স কমিটির মাননীয় চেয়ারম্যান, সাবেক সাধারণ সম্পাদক সুপ্রিম কোর্ট অাইনজীবী  সমিতি, যিনি টিভি টকশোর মাধ্যমে জীবনের ঝুঁকি নিয়ে সরকারের পক্ষে সত্যকে তুলে ধরেন , অপপ্রচারের জবাব দেন ,

 অত্যন্ত সুরেলা কন্ঠের তুখোরবক্তা  প্রতিটি বিষয় যুক্তির কষ্ঠি পাথরে ঘষে প্রকৃত সত্যকে উপস্থাপন করেন ৷যিনি সব সময় সৎ ও সততার সাথে নিজেকে নিয়োজিত রাখেন।

যার কারণে গনতন্ত্রের মানস কন্যা জননেত্রী,  দেশরত্ন শেখ হাসিনাও তেমনি অশংখ্য নেতা কর্মীর ভিতর থেকে ত্যাগী,নির্লোভ,সৎ,নিষ্ঠাবান যোগ্য ব্যক্তিটি খুঁজে বের করে সঠিক দায়িত্ব তার হাতে তুলে দিলেন।

অার যোগ্য লোকের হাতে যোগ্য দায়িত্ব পড়লে কি হয় অাজ সারা বাংলাদেশের মানুষ উপলব্ধি করছে, একজন  শ ম রেজাউল করিম যিনি  আজ বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগের আইন বিষয়ক সম্পাদক হয়ে সারা বাংলাদেশে দলীয় নেতাকর্মী দের মাঝে সেতুবন্ধন তৈরি করেছেন। সারা দেশের মানুুষ অাজ উচ্চাসিত,
