Rape is rape, rape of a girl in front of the family!

The incident happened in Rajpur village of Muzaffarpur. Police officer Ehsan Younis said that the allegation of rape of Asafa's teenage sister was against Umar Waddar. When the incident came in front of the villagers, they gave a new ruling for the punishment of Umar. Asafak was ordered from the village panchayat,
Umar's minor sister must be raped in front of everyone in the family. Rape is a good punishment rather than rape. Umar's family members protested strongly against this condemnation.
On the basis of their complaint lodged, police arrested 30 members of Panchayat along with the faces of the village. A separate FIR has been lodged in the name of Asafaq and Umar, said Ehsan.
Police said that the police did not inform the police about the incident. On 16 July, Umar was accused of rape of Asafaq's sister. After that there was a settlement meeting in the village for justice.
The members of the Panchayat gave such a condemnation of punishment at that meeting. Police have been investigating whether the incident was genuinely obeyed, whether there was any incident of rape.
Asma Jahangir, former member of Supreme Court Bar Association: "It is very unfortunate that people still go to the village panchayet without asking for justice."
He said that awareness should be increased in the rural areas.
